The 3M 7010329182 Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt is a nonwoven abrasive belt designed for detail finishing work on metal surfaces. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain and resin bond over a scrim-reinforced backing, this belt handles blending, deburring, flat finishing, contour finishing, and stainless steel brushed-finish work. The open nonwoven web construction reduces loading and heat buildup, extending belt life and delivering consistent surface conditioning results across extended production runs. Licensed trades and production operators use this belt in both manual and robotic belt grinding applications.
This belt is suited for residential and light commercial metal fabrication environments as well as industrial finishing lines. It performs detail work on contoured, edged, and flat metal parts where consistent surface quality is required. Typical applications include blending weld seams, removing grind lines and mill marks, setting the grain on stainless steel, and deburring cut or stamped edges. The belt measures 72 inches in length and 3 inches in width, fitting standard belt finishing machines configured for that size.
Designed for use on standard belt finishing machines accepting 72-inch by 3-inch abrasive belts, suitable for use on a variety of metals including stainless steel and other ferrous and nonferrous materials.
Installation and belt changes should be performed by qualified operators following machine manufacturer guidelines. Power down and lock out the belt finishing machine before changing belts. Inspect the belt for tears or damage before mounting, and confirm proper tracking before resuming operation. Follow applicable workplace safety standards for abrasive finishing equipment.
