The 3M 7010328679 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt built for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal surfaces. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into precise three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. The belt measures 96 inches long by 3 inches wide and weighs 0.3 pounds. As the abrasive pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and a repeatable fine finish from the start of the belt life to the end. It is installed by metalworking and surface finishing technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This belt is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing operations ahead of plating, buffing, or final coating. The flexible rayon cloth backing conforms to contoured and irregular surfaces, making it well suited for both flat stock and shaped workpieces. The three-dimensional pyramid structure produces predictable, consistent finishes throughout the belt life, which is particularly valuable in robotic and automated finishing applications where repeatability is critical.
