The 3M 7010328646 is a Trizact 237AA abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into precise three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed. This self-renewing cutting action delivers a consistent cut rate and predictable finish quality throughout the life of the belt. The belt measures 158 inches in length and 6 inches in width and weighs 1.16 pounds. It is well suited for automated and robotic finishing lines where consistent results are required.
This belt is intended for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal workpieces prior to plating or buffing operations. The flexible X-weight cloth backing conforms to contours, making it appropriate for parts with irregular profiles. The three-dimensional abrasive structure produces finer surface finishes than conventional electrostatically coated abrasive belts, and the design runs cooler than standard abrasives, reducing heat-related workpiece distortion. Typical users include metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and automated grinding line operators.
Designed for use on belt finishing machines accepting a 158-inch by 6-inch abrasive belt. Intended for metal finishing applications prior to plating or buffing, including use in robotic and automated grinding systems.
Belt installation and tensioning should be performed by qualified personnel following the machine manufacturer's guidelines. Ensure the belt grinder or finishing machine is fully powered down and locked out before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation. Always follow applicable workplace safety standards and use appropriate personal protective equipment when operating abrasive belt equipment.
