The 3M 7010328566 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for controlled surface finishing on a wide range of metal and non-metal substrates. Built on a durable cloth and polyester scrim backing, this belt resists stretching under tension, making it well-suited for applications that require consistent contact and repeatable results. The open non-woven nylon web construction stays load-resistant, which extends abrasive service life and reduces the risk of loading or glazing during use. At 24 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, it fits standard narrow-belt finishing machines used by fabricators, machinists, and maintenance tradespeople.
This belt is designed for use on portable or stationary belt finishing equipment where moderate surface conditioning is needed without aggressive stock removal. The aluminum oxide mineral and brown grade position it in the middle of the Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt line, offering a balance of cut and finish. It is suitable for use on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and other metal substrates in fabrication, maintenance, and light industrial settings. The springy non-woven fiber structure allows the belt to conform slightly to contoured surfaces, finishing while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece.
Designed for use on narrow belt finishing machines accepting a 24-inch by 1/2-inch abrasive belt. Suitable for conditioning stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and similar metal substrates as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive belt finishing equipment. Power down and de-energize the machine completely before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension according to the equipment manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and gloves, when handling abrasive belts and operating finishing machinery.
