The 3M 7010328376 is a ceramic abrasive cloth cone designed for offhand and pressure grinding on stainless steel, exotic metal alloys, and other hard-to-grind materials. Built on a YF-weight water-resistant polyester cloth backing, this cone is resin bonded for enhanced heat resistance during aggressive grinding operations. The 777F ceramic grain formulation includes a built-in grinding aid that reduces heat buildup and improves cut rate on exotic alloys. At 80 grit, it delivers a balance of stock removal and surface finish suited to professional metalworking and fabrication environments. The cone measures 2 inches x 1.5 inches x 1.25 inches and weighs 0.02 pounds.
This cloth cone is intended for use in industrial and trade grinding applications where conventional abrasives underperform on high-alloy materials. It is well suited for weld blending, deburring, and surface preparation on stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and similar exotic metals. The water-resistant backing allows operation both wet and dry, giving fabricators and metal finishers flexibility based on the application and workpiece requirements. It is typically installed on die grinders or right-angle grinders fitted with a compatible mandrel.
Designed as an OEM-style abrasive cone for use on die grinders and right-angle grinders fitted with a compatible mandrel. Best suited for grinding stainless steel and exotic metal alloys.
Installation is performed by metal fabricators and industrial grinding technicians. Secure the cone onto a compatible mandrel and verify the grinder RPM rating does not exceed the cone's rated maximum speed before operation. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves. Inspect the cone for damage before each use and replace if any cracking, fraying, or uneven wear is observed.
