The 3M 7010328291 is a 2-inch Roloc coated abrasive disc in the 777F series, designed for metal fabrication and surface preparation work. It combines 3M ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide mineral, delivering a self-sharpening action that maintains cut rate and extends disc life compared to straight aluminum oxide products. The heavy polyester backing is water-resistant, supporting consistent performance in both wet and dry applications under medium grinding pressure. This disc is well suited for stock removal and finishing passes on heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium.
The 777F disc is used in metalworking environments where controlled material removal and surface finish are both priorities. The 36-grit designation places it in aggressive stock removal territory, making it appropriate for weld blending, deburring, and preparing surfaces prior to finishing. A built-in grinding aid reduces grinding temperatures, which is critical when working heat-sensitive base metals that risk metallurgical damage from excessive heat buildup. Licensed trade fabricators, maintenance welders, and industrial metalworkers are the primary installers and users of this disc type.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible right-angle grinders and die grinders fitted with the appropriate Roloc mandrel or backup pad. Compatible with wet and dry grinding applications on metal substrates.
This disc is installed and removed by a licensed trade professional or qualified operator using the Roloc twist-on attachment system with a compatible mandrel. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before changing discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not operate above the rated speed for the disc. Eye protection, hearing protection, and appropriate respiratory protection should be worn during grinding operations per applicable safety standards.
