The 3M 7010328208 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in industrial and trade applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into precise three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and predictable fine finish across the full life of the belt. At 118 inches long and 4 inches wide, this belt fits wide-contact and stroke-sanding machines common in fabrication and finishing shops.
This belt is suited for intermediate finishing and fine polishing operations prior to plating or buffing on metal components. The flexible X-weight cloth backing conforms to contours, making it useful for shaped or profiled workpieces as well as flat stock. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure produces repeatable surface finishes that are finer than those achieved with conventional electrostatically coated abrasives, and the design runs cooler than traditional abrasive constructions. It is well suited for robotic or automated sanding applications where finish consistency from belt to belt is critical.
Designed for use on wide-contact belt sanders, stroke sanders, and automated finishing equipment that accept 118-inch by 4-inch abrasive belts. Intended for intermediate finishing and fine polishing of metal parts prior to plating or buffing.
Install on properly tensioned belt-sanding equipment sized for 118-inch by 4-inch belts. Verify belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer's specifications before operation. Inspect the belt for tears or delamination before mounting. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing belts.
