The 3M 7010327826 is an aluminum oxide cloth-backed abrasive belt designed for general-purpose metalworking, metal deburring, and woodworking operations. Built on an XF-weight polyester cloth backing, this belt handles both wet and dry grinding and sanding without breaking down under heat or pressure. The resin bond system keeps the aluminum oxide abrasive mineral locked in place through aggressive stock removal cycles. At 36 grit, it is suited to coarse material removal on mild steel, carbon steel, aluminum, bronze, and brass. Licensed tradespeople and shop technicians installing this on backstand or benchtop sanders will get consistent, repeatable cut rates across a wide range of substrate hardness levels.
This belt is intended for use in industrial metalworking and fabrication environments as well as woodworking shops. Typical applications include deburring cut edges, blending weld seams, surface preparation before finishing, and stroke sanding operations. Compatible equipment includes backstand belt sanders, benchtop belt sanders, portable belt grinders, and wide belt grinding and finishing machines. The 132-inch length and 2-inch width suit standard tooling configurations for those machine types. The maroon polyester backing is waterproof, making this belt equally viable in wet or dry process setups.
Designed for use on backstand and benchtop belt sanders, portable belt grinders, and wide belt grinding and finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 2-inch abrasive belt.
Belt sanding and grinding equipment must be fully powered down and unplugged before changing belts. Verify belt tension and tracking adjustment per the machine manufacturer guidelines before running the belt under load. Inspect the belt for nicks, tears, or edge damage before installation, and do not operate a damaged belt. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when handling and installing abrasive belts.
