The 3M 7010327354 is the Cubitron II 984F coated abrasive belt, built for demanding stock removal on stainless steel, exotic alloys, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and carbon steel. It uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain on a YF-weight polyester cloth backing. The shaped grain continuously fractures to expose sharp cutting points, delivering fast cut rates and extended belt life. A built-in grinding aid keeps operating temperatures lower, reducing the risk of metal discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. This belt is sized at 75 inches long by 37 inches wide and is rated at 80 grit for medium material removal.
This belt is engineered for medium to high pressure applications in industrial fabrication, aerospace component finishing, and heavy-duty grinding environments. It performs well in both robotic and pressure-assisted grinding setups, where consistent cut rate and long belt life directly affect throughput. Typical applications include weld blending, surface conditioning, and aggressive stock removal on hard-to-grind alloys. The YF-weight backing provides the rigidity and durability required for high-contact-pressure work on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloy workpieces.
Designed for use on wide-belt grinding machines accepting a 75 inch by 37 inch abrasive belt, running on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome, nickel alloys, and other exotic alloys in robotic or pressure-assisted grinding applications.
Belt installation and tensioning should be performed by qualified machine operators or maintenance personnel following the equipment manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and de-energize the grinder before mounting or replacing a belt. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage prior to each use and replace immediately if damage is found.
