The 3M 7010326612 is the Cubitron II 982C coated fiber disc, a ceramic abrasive disc engineered for medium and high-pressure grinding on carbon steel. It uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain technology, which maintains triangular, sharp cutting points throughout the disc life. This geometry allows the disc to cut faster with less downforce compared to conventional ceramic abrasives. The result is reduced operator fatigue, higher throughput, and more parts completed per disc. It is used in manual angle grinder operations as well as robotic and pressure-assisted grinding systems. A stiff fiber backing bonded with a strong resin system supports heavy-duty tasks such as weld grinding and edge beveling.
This disc is suited for fabrication shops, structural steel operations, and weld finishing applications where high material removal rates and disc longevity are priorities. The 4-inch diameter and 36 grit designation make it appropriate for aggressive stock removal on carbon steel workpieces. The disc operates at a maximum speed of 15000 rpm, compatible with standard 4-inch right-angle grinders used across metal fabrication and light industrial environments. It is installed and operated by metal fabricators, welders, and industrial maintenance technicians.
Designed for use on carbon steel in medium and high-pressure grinding applications including weld grinding and beveling with standard 4-inch right-angle grinders.
This disc is mounted and operated by trained metal fabricators or industrial technicians. Verify the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the disc maximum speed of 15000 rpm before mounting. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and never operate a cracked or torn disc. Follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA 1910.215 grinding safety standards when installing and using abrasive discs.
