The 3M 7010326512 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) abrasive disc designed for aggressive material removal in professional grinding and surface preparation applications. Measuring 15 inches in diameter, this disc features 40-grit aluminum oxide abrasive on an X-weighted cloth backing, placing it in the coarse grade category. The heavy cloth backing provides durability and flexibility during use, making it well suited for contoured or flat surface work. It is installed and used by metalworkers, fabricators, and finishing professionals who need consistent cut rate on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This disc is compatible with bench top motors and random orbital sanders that accept 15-inch PSA-mount abrasive discs. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows fast disc changes without additional fasteners or hardware. The maroon-colored disc body and X-weight cloth construction are optimized for demanding stock removal tasks on metal, wood, and composite surfaces in both shop and production environments. No vacuum holes are present in this disc configuration.
Designed for use with bench top motors and random orbital sanders that accept 15-inch PSA abrasive discs with a solid (no-hole) platen configuration.
Installation is performed by the machine operator or finishing technician. Power down and lock out the sander or bench motor before mounting or removing any abrasive disc. Ensure the backing pad surface is clean and free of debris before pressing the PSA disc into full contact to achieve a secure bond. Follow the equipment manufacturer's guidelines for maximum disc RPM ratings and safe operating procedures.
