The 3M 7010326406 is a coated abrasive belt designed for sanding and finishing applications across a wide range of flat and contoured surfaces. Built on an F-weight paper backing — one of the heaviest and most rigid paper substrates available — this belt delivers smooth, consistent stock removal while achieving finer surface finishes than cloth-backed belts in comparable grit grades. At 103 inches long and 54 inches wide with a P220 grit rating, it is sized for wide-belt sanding machines common in woodworking, metal fabrication, and composites finishing. Aluminum oxide mineral provides aggressive cut and extended abrasive life through repeated passes.
This belt is well suited for finish sanding on wide-belt sanders in production woodworking shops, cabinet manufacturing, furniture finishing, and light metal surface prep. The open coat construction and anti-static treatment make it effective in environments where dust loading and static buildup slow production. It runs efficiently in either direction, which reduces downtime from belt reversals on wide-belt equipment.
Designed for use on wide-belt sanding machines that accept a 103-inch by 54-inch abrasive belt. Verify platen and contact drum dimensions against machine specifications before installation.
Wide-belt abrasive belts should be installed by qualified machine operators familiar with the specific sander model. Power down and lockout the machine before loading or removing a belt. Inspect the belt for tears, splice integrity, and proper tracking direction before resuming operation. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines for belt tension and tracking adjustment.
