The 3M 7010326202 is an aluminum oxide cloth abrasive belt designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and woodworking applications. Built on an X-weight cloth backing, this belt handles heavy sanding and grinding loads without breaking down under high heat or pressure. The resin bond locks the abrasive grain firmly in place, and the 36-grit aluminum oxide mineral cuts aggressively across metal and wood substrates. At 103 inches long and 50 inches wide, this belt is sized for wide belt sanding equipment and is also suited to edge and portable belt sanding applications. Licensed HVAC and sheet metal technicians, fabricators, and metalworking professionals are the primary installers and users of this product.
This belt is well-suited to wide belt sander setups found in metal fabrication shops and woodworking facilities. Its tube-shaped band profile allows it to conform to both inner and outer contours, making it effective for removing parting lines, surface imperfections, and burrs from machined or cast components. The belt can also be mounted on a rubber expander wheel attachment for use with a die grinder or rotary drill, expanding its utility to portable and tight-access grinding tasks on metal substrates.
Designed for use with wide belt, edge, and portable belt sanding equipment; also fits rubber expander wheel attachments used with die grinders and rotary drills for metalworking and woodworking applications.
Disconnect and lock out power to the sanding equipment before mounting or removing the belt. Confirm belt tracking alignment and tension before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or worn abrasive before each use and replace if the backing or bond shows signs of failure. Follow the equipment manufacturer's belt size and speed rating requirements to avoid belt breakage.
