The 3M 7010326163 is an aluminum oxide cloth abrasive belt designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and woodworking material removal. Constructed on an X-weight cloth backing, the belt withstands the rigors of heavy sanding and grinding cycles. A resin bond system holds the aluminum oxide mineral under high heat and pressure, maintaining consistent cut rate throughout the belt's service life. At 48 inches long and 2.5 inches wide with a P120 grit rating, this belt is sized for wide belt, edge, and portable belt sanding applications. Licensed trades and production grinding operators are the primary users.
This belt is suited for both metal and wood substrates in residential shop, light industrial, and production metalworking environments. Its tube-shaped band profile allows it to conform to inner and outer contours, making it effective for removing parting lines, surface imperfections, and burrs from machined or cast components. The belt is also compatible with rubber expander wheel attachments, enabling use with a die grinder or rotary drill for portable, detail-oriented deburring work. Wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders are all supported configurations.
Designed for use on metal substrates including machined and cast components, as well as wood. Fits wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders. Accepts rubber expander wheel attachments (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills.
Ensure the sanding machine or die grinder is fully powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the belt. Verify the belt arrow or grain direction marking aligns with the direction of travel on the machine. Inspect the expander wheel or contact drum for wear or damage before seating the belt. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when operating abrasive belts at rated speeds.
