The 3M 7010326151 is an aluminum oxide coated abrasive cloth belt designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and woodworking applications. Sold as the 341D series, this belt uses a tough aluminum oxide abrasive mineral that cuts fast and maintains consistent performance across metal and wood substrates. The X-weight cloth backing provides the rigidity and durability needed for heavy sanding and grinding cycles. A resin bond construction handles high heat and elevated pressure without glazing or breaking down prematurely. Licensed trades and production shops use this belt for wide belt sanding, edge sanding, and portable belt sanding operations.
This belt is commonly used in metal fabrication and woodworking environments where consistent stock removal and surface finishing are required. Its tube-shaped band profile fits inner and outer contours, making it effective for removing parting lines, surface imperfections, and burrs on machined or cast metal parts. The belt also mounts onto a rubber expander wheel attachment for use with a die grinder or rotary drill, expanding its range of applications to include contour work and hard-to-reach surfaces. It is sized at 15.5 inches in length by 3.5 inches in width and carries a P100 grit rating for moderate stock removal and surface refinement.
Designed for use with wide belt sanders, edge sanders, portable belt sanders, and rubber expander wheel attachments mounted on die grinders or rotary drills. Suitable for metal and wood substrates.
Install this belt with the arrow or grain direction indicator aligned to the direction of rotation to prevent belt seam failure. Ensure the sander or grinder is powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the belt. Inspect the expander wheel or platen for wear before each use, as a damaged contact surface can cause uneven wear or premature belt failure. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for belt tensioning and tracking adjustments.
