The 3M 7010326117 is a coated abrasive belt designed for demanding stock removal and metal finishing applications. It combines 3M ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide in a proprietary blend that cuts faster and lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide belts. The heavyweight polyester cloth backing handles high-pressure grinding without breaking down. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup, making this belt well suited for stainless steel and other heat-sensitive metals. It can be run dry or with a liquid lubricant depending on the application. Licensed trades and fabrication shops use this belt where consistent cut rate and extended belt life are priorities.
This belt is sized at 79 inches long by 6 inches wide and carries a 36 grit rating, placing it in the coarse range for aggressive material removal. It is used in industrial metal fabrication, weld grinding, and surface conditioning on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The orange-colored backing is characteristic of the 777F product line. Typical applications include grinding welds flush, shaping metal profiles, and preparing surfaces for finishing. The belt is sold individually and suits high-cycle production environments where downtime from frequent belt changes is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit abrasive belt for belt grinders and wide-belt sanders accepting a 79 inch by 6 inch belt configuration.
Installation should be performed by qualified shop personnel familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the contact wheel and platen for wear that could cause uneven belt loading or premature failure.
