The 3M 7010326113 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt built on an X-weight cloth backing with aluminum oxide mineral. Unlike conventional abrasive belts, this belt uses 3M microreplication technology to form micron-graded aluminum oxide particles into three-dimensional pyramidal structures. As the surface pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed. The result is a consistent cut rate and predictable finish from the start of the belt life to the end. At 148 inches long and 5 inches wide, this belt is suited for wide-contact and robotic grinding and finishing operations where finish consistency is critical.
This belt is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications, particularly in preparation for plating or buffing operations. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured surfaces, making it effective on both flat stock and irregular profiles. It is commonly used in metal fabrication, aerospace component finishing, and precision part manufacturing where surface finish tolerance is tightly controlled. Licensed trades and industrial finishing technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals are the primary installers and operators.
Designed for use on belt grinding and finishing machines that accept 148-inch by 5-inch abrasive belts. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal workpieces requiring consistent intermediate-finish or pre-plate surface preparation.
Installation should be performed by qualified machine operators or maintenance technicians familiar with abrasive belt equipment. De-energize and lock out the belt grinder before mounting or removing the belt. Verify belt tracking alignment and tension per the equipment manufacturer specifications before resuming operation. Inspect the contact wheel and platen for wear before installing a new belt to avoid uneven pressure that can affect finish quality.
