The 3M 7010326095 is a Trizact 217EA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing operations in metalworking and surface preparation applications. It measures 48 inches in length and 2 inches in width. The belt uses 3M microreplicated pyramid technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into uniform pyramidal structures bonded to a JE-weight rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids gradually wear, fresh cutting mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the belt's service life. Licensed tradespeople and finishing technicians in fabrication, metalworking, and light manufacturing environments install and use this belt.
This belt is intended for intermediate finishing and fine polishing prior to plating or buffing. It performs well in light-pressure applications where controlled, consistent surface finishing is required. The flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing conforms to contoured and irregular surfaces, making it suitable for both flat stock and shaped workpieces. Its consistent performance and extended abrasive life also make it well suited to robotic and automated finishing systems where repeatable results are critical.
Designed as a replacement-style abrasive belt for standard belt finishing machines and robotic grinding systems that accept 48-inch by 2-inch belts in metalworking, fabrication, and light manufacturing environments.
Abrasive belts of this type are installed by metalworking technicians and finishing operators following equipment manufacturer guidelines for belt tensioning and tracking. Always power down and lock out the belt finishing machine before changing belts. Inspect the platen, contact wheel, and idler for wear or damage before mounting a new belt. Run the machine briefly at operating speed with guards in place before applying workpiece pressure to confirm proper belt tracking.
