The 3M 7010325942 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the abrasive pyramids wear during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed at the cutting face. The result is a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish across the full life of the belt. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and irregular surfaces without loading or glazing.
This belt is used in production finishing environments where surface prep must be repeatable and controlled. Typical applications include intermediate grinding passes before plating, anodizing, or buffing, and fine polishing on metal components where surface finish specification must be held tight. The three-dimensional abrasive structure makes it well-suited for robotic and automated finishing lines where consistent stock removal and finish uniformity are required across high part volumes. It also performs in manual belt finishing on contoured metal parts.
Designed as a replacement-style abrasive belt for belt finishing machines and robotic finishing systems that accept 36 inch by 2 inch belts for metal surface preparation prior to plating or buffing.
Installation is performed by machine operators or finishing technicians following the equipment manufacturer's belt-change procedure. Power down and de-energize the finishing machine before removing or installing the belt. Confirm belt tracking tension and direction-of-travel arrow alignment before resuming operation. Inspect the contact wheel and platen for wear or damage that could cause uneven belt loading.
