The 3M 7010325935 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt engineered for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in demanding industrial and fabrication environments. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into structured pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp cutting edges are continuously exposed. This self-renewing action delivers a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the life of the belt. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpiece surfaces, maintaining uniform contact and finish quality.
This belt is suited for automated and robotic finishing systems where consistent, repeatable results are required across high production volumes. It is also used in manual bench and backstand operations for fine polishing prior to plating or buffing. Typical applications include ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless steel fabrication, and precision component finishing where surface finish consistency is critical. The structured abrasive construction produces finer finishes compared to conventional electrostatically coated abrasive belts of similar grit ratings.
Designed for use on belt grinders, backstand grinders, and automated robotic finishing systems that accept 90 inch by 4 inch abrasive belts.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the machine manufacturer's belt tracking and tensioning procedures. Always power down and lockout the grinder or finishing machine before mounting or removing the belt. Inspect the belt for tears, edge damage, or delamination before use. Confirm belt arrow direction matches machine rotation where directional arrows are printed on the backing.
