The 3M 7010325911 is a coated abrasive belt designed for demanding stock removal and metal finishing applications. It uses a blend of ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide that cuts faster and lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide belts. The belt is built on a heavyweight polyester cloth backing rated for high-pressure grinding, and it can be run dry or with lubricant. A grinding aid is bonded into the construction to suppress heat buildup, making this belt well suited for work on heat-sensitive metals including stainless steel. Licensed trades and fabrication shops running belt grinders or polishing machines are the primary users.
This belt is used in production and maintenance environments where metal finishing, weld blending, or aggressive stock removal is performed. The 17 3/4 inch length and 2 inch width fit standard contact-wheel and slack-belt configurations common in fabrication and industrial applications. It performs on ferrous and non-ferrous metals and is particularly effective where heat control is critical, such as when grinding stainless steel or thin-gauge sheet metal. The belt is sold individually and is intended for professional trade use.
Designed for use on belt grinders, polishing machines, and slack-belt systems that accept 17 3/4 inch by 2 inch abrasive belts in production metal finishing and stock removal setups.
Installation is performed by maintenance technicians or machine operators following equipment manufacturer guidelines for belt tensioning and tracking. Power down and lock out the grinder or polishing machine before mounting or removing the belt. Inspect the contact wheel and idler for wear before fitting a new belt. Follow all applicable shop safety and PPE requirements when operating abrasive equipment.
