The 3M 7010320055 is a flame-resistant polyolefin heat shrink tubing sold on a 100-foot spool under the FP-301VW series designation. It delivers the same balanced electrical, physical, and chemical performance as standard FP-301 tubing while adding superior flame resistance for demanding wiring applications. Rated for continuous operation from -55 degrees C (-67 degrees F) to 135 degrees C (275 degrees F), it also withstands brief exposure to temperatures up to 300 degrees C (572 degrees F). The minimum shrink temperature is 100 degrees C (212 degrees F). Electricians, harness builders, and MRO technicians use this tubing to protect and bundle wire conductors in environments where flame spread is a concern.
This tubing is well suited for industrial, commercial, and OEM wiring harness applications where thermal and chemical resistance are required alongside flame-retardant performance. The 1-inch diameter accommodates a range of conductor bundles and termination points. Supplied on a continuous 100-foot spool, it is appropriate for production-volume use or larger field service jobs requiring consistent, repeatable shrink coverage across multiple connections.
Designed as a general-purpose flame-resistant heat shrink tubing solution for wire protection, bundling, and termination in industrial and commercial electrical applications where a 1-inch shrink diameter is required.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or trained harness assembly technicians. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or termination. Use a calibrated heat gun to apply even heat around the tubing circumference, working from the center outward to prevent air pockets. Refer to applicable NEC requirements for conductor insulation and bundling in your installation environment.
