The 3M 7010310375 is a 12-inch diameter unitized abrasive wheel built for demanding finishing work on hard and exotic metals. Part of the Standard Abrasives 700 Series, it uses silicon carbide mineral bonded in a medium-to-hard density non-woven construction. The increased material density and reinforced edge provide greater durability and a more aggressive cut than lighter-grade unitized wheels, making it well suited for achieving fine surface finishes on materials such as titanium, stainless steel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Metal fabricators, aerospace technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly install this wheel on bench grinders or pedestal tools using a unitized wheel mandrel.
This wheel is designed for tough finishing applications where load resistance and consistent surface conditioning matter. The open web construction resists loading, which extends abrasive service life during prolonged use. The silicon carbide mineral is effective on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and exotic alloys including titanium. The wheel runs both clockwise and counterclockwise, allowing use on a wider range of tool setups without requiring a dedicated rotational direction. It is sold individually and attaches to the tool spindle via a unitized wheel mandrel, which is sold separately.
Designed for use on bench grinders and pedestal grinding tools that accept center-hole unitized wheels mounted with a compatible unitized wheel mandrel, sold separately. Suitable for finishing ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, composites, and exotic metals including titanium.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the tool manufacturer's mounting instructions and all applicable safety standards for abrasive wheels. Always power down and de-energize the tool before mounting or removing the wheel. Confirm the tool's rated RPM meets or exceeds the wheel's maximum operating speed before use. A proper unitized wheel mandrel is required for mounting and is not included with this wheel.
