The 3M 7010310373 is an aluminum oxide unitized abrasive wheel designed for mid-sequence metalworking tasks including deburring, surface cleaning, and weld discoloration removal. Part of the 700 Series, this wheel features a medium-to-hard density construction with an open web that resists loading and extends service life. At 6 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch arbor hole, it mounts to standard unitized wheel mandrels and runs in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Fabricators, maintenance technicians, and metalworking professionals use it for ferrous and non-ferrous metal applications where consistent edge durability is required.
This wheel is suited for industrial and shop environments handling stainless steel, aluminum, and other hard or non-ferrous metals. Typical applications include removing punched hole burrs, cleaning heavy scale, removing heavy flashing, and blending medium-sized pits and scratches. The harder density and edge durability of the 700 Series position it above lighter-duty 600 Series unitized wheels for heavier cleaning and deburring sequences. It performs equally well on bench-mounted units and handheld angle grinders or die grinders equipped with a compatible mandrel.
Designed for use with standard unitized wheel mandrels that accept a 1/2 inch arbor; compatible with handheld angle grinders, die grinders, and bench-mounted finishing machines configured for 6 inch unitized wheels.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety standards including ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and confirm the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the wheel rating. The mandrel is sold separately and must be properly tightened per the tool manufacturer specifications before operation.
