The 3M 7010310113 is a non-woven abrasive disc engineered for aggressive material removal in metalworking and surface preparation applications. Built on an HP-grade open web construction, it delivers more stiffness and tear resistance than standard GP material, making it suitable for edge deburring, contaminant removal, and surface blending. The disc uses aluminum oxide as the cutting mineral, which cuts sharp and produces a consistent scratch pattern on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 10 inch diameter disc mounts via a 1/2 inch arbor and is designed for use by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance professionals working with angle grinders or disc sanders.
This disc is used in industrial and light manufacturing environments where controlled surface finishing is required. Typical applications include removal of burrs from machined edges, stripping of tough surface contaminants, and blending of welds or rough spots prior to coating or inspection. The open web structure resists loading, meaning debris does not pack into the abrasive and shorten service life. The red disc color indicates an aluminum oxide, very fine (VFN) grade abrasive, suited for moderate stock removal with a refined scratch pattern. It is sold individually and fits standard disc grinder and finishing tool setups.
Designed for use with disc grinders and finishing tools that accept a 10 inch diameter non-woven abrasive disc with a 1/2 inch arbor mount.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified metalworking or maintenance professionals familiar with abrasive disc equipment. Power down and de-energize all equipment before mounting or removing the disc. Confirm the tool spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the disc maximum rated speed before operation. Inspect the disc for damage or delamination prior to each use and do not use a damaged disc.
