The 3M 7010309675 is a Scotch-Brite surface conditioning belt designed for detail work on metal surfaces. The nonwoven open-web construction with aluminum oxide grain and resin bond delivers consistent stock removal and surface refinement without the loading and heat buildup common to conventional abrasive belts. At 60 inches long and 1-1/2 inches wide, this belt fits narrow-contact belt tools used by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians handling blending, deburring, and finishing tasks. The reinforced scrim backing provides durability and flexibility needed to follow contours, edges, and complex part geometries without losing abrasive contact.
This belt is suited for residential and commercial metalworking, fabrication shops, and maintenance environments where controlled surface finishing is required. Typical applications include blending weld seams, deburring cut edges, cleaning mill scale, setting a grain on stainless steel, and producing straightline-brushed finishes. The conformable nonwoven structure makes it practical for robotic processing cells as well as hand-guided belt tools. It performs on a variety of metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.
Designed for use on narrow-contact belt finishing tools that accept 60-inch by 1-1/2-inch belts. Suitable for detail finishing on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals.
Installation and belt changes should be performed with the tool powered off and unplugged. Verify that the tool spindle speed rating is compatible with the belt before operation. Inspect the belt for tears or separation before mounting and confirm proper tracking before applying to a workpiece. Follow applicable shop safety protocols including eye protection and appropriate ventilation when conditioning metal surfaces.
