The 3M 7010309672 Scotch-Brite CP-DC is a non-woven cut and polish disc designed to produce satin or high-luster surface finishes on a variety of metals. Built with an open-web aluminum oxide construction, the disc delivers an aggressive cut while generating low heat during extended contact with the workpiece. The durable web resists loading, which extends disc service life compared to conventional abrasive media. At 2 inches in diameter with a 1/4 inch arbor, this disc mounts directly to bench motors or straight shaft tools. It is well suited for metal fabrication, maintenance, and finishing work performed by machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die professionals.
This disc is intended for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where satin or polished surface finishes are required. Typical applications include blending weld seams, removing light burrs, and preparing surfaces for coating or inspection. The 2 inch diameter and 1/4 inch arbor make it compatible with bench-mounted grinding motors and inline or straight die grinders commonly found in fabrication shops and maintenance environments. It is sold individually and suits both production and intermittent finishing tasks.
Designed for use on bench motors and straight shaft tools accepting a 1/4 inch arbor; suitable for finishing and light deburring on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Installation and tool mounting should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive disc safety practices. Verify the tool spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum rated RPM of the disc before mounting. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before changing discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and never use a disc that shows signs of delamination or tearing.
