The 3M 7010309503 is the Scotch-Brite HS-DC High Strength Disc, a non-woven abrasive disc engineered for general-purpose surface conditioning in metal fabrication and finishing applications. Built on a durable, open-web construction, the disc resists loading and runs cool, allowing the aluminum oxide abrasive to cut at a consistent rate from the first use through the end of disc life. At 8 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole, it mounts to standard right-angle grinders and disc sanders used across industrial and trade environments. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators use this disc for deburring, denibing, defuzzing, and producing satin finishes on a wide range of metal substrates.
This disc is suited for metal surface prep work in fabrication shops, HVAC duct work finishing, light manufacturing, and maintenance environments. Its conformable, non-woven structure follows contours and irregular surfaces, making it effective on both flat stock and formed parts. The wear-resistant edge helps maintain finish consistency across the full service life. Discs can be stacked to increase cut aggressiveness or to cover larger surface areas in a single pass, giving technicians flexibility without requiring a tool change.
Designed as a general-purpose surface conditioning disc for use on right-angle grinders and disc sanders fitted with a 7/8-inch arbor, suitable for use on a wide variety of metal substrates.
Mounting and use should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with angle grinder and abrasive disc safety. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc maximum rated RPM before mounting. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from its power source before changing discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and follow applicable ANSI B7 abrasive product safety standards.
