The 3M 7010309452 is a flexible diamond QRS cloth disc engineered for grinding hard-to-work materials that conventional abrasives struggle to cut effectively. The disc uses micron-graded diamond mineral secured with a metal bond, delivering aggressive cutting action and consistent scratch patterns on demanding surfaces including stone, glass, ceramics, carbides, and composites. At 3 inches in diameter, it attaches via a quick-release system for fast disc changes during production work. The semi-flexible backing allows the disc to conform to edges and contoured surfaces without losing cutting efficiency. Licensed abrasive technicians and fabricators working in stone, glass, and advanced materials shops are the primary installers and operators of this product.
This disc is suited for use in fabrication and finishing environments where conventional aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives lose performance against hard substrates. Typical applications include edge grinding and surface preparation on stone countertops, ceramic components, carbide tooling, and composite materials. The open dot mineral pattern permits swarf and debris to escape the cutting zone during use, reducing loading and extending usable disc life. It is sold in minimum quantities of 5 discs per order.
Designed for use with quick-release (QRS) compatible random orbital and disc grinder tool systems suited to 3-inch diameter abrasive discs.
Mounting and operation should be performed by qualified abrasive tool operators following the tool manufacturer's maximum RPM rating for the disc size. Confirm the tool's arbor and backing pad are compatible with the quick-release attachment system before mounting. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and respiratory protection when grinding ceramics, stone, or composites. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use a disc that shows cuts, tears, or separation of the mineral layer.
