The 3M 7010309415 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt engineered for consistent intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal and other hard surfaces. Built on an X-weight cloth backing, this belt uses 3M microreplication technology to form micron-graded aluminum oxide particles into precise three-dimensional pyramids. As each pyramid wears during use, fresh abrasive mineral is continuously exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine finish from the first pass to the last. The belt measures 132 inches in length and 6 inches in width, and weighs 0.86 pounds.
This belt is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications prior to plating or buffing on metal components. Its flexible X-weight cloth backing conforms to contoured surfaces, making it suitable for both manual and robotic grinding and finishing operations. The three-dimensional abrasive structure delivers uniform surface finishes throughout the life of the belt, which is particularly advantageous in automated and high-repeatability production environments where consistency across large part runs is required.
Designed for use on belt grinding and finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 6-inch abrasive belt. Suitable for metal finishing operations including pre-plate and pre-buff polishing on ferrous and non-ferrous components.
Installation should be performed by qualified grinding or finishing equipment operators following the machine manufacturer's guidelines. Disconnect and lock out power to the belt grinder before mounting or removing abrasive belts. Verify belt tracking and tension according to equipment specifications before resuming operation. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and gloves, when handling and installing abrasive belts.
