The 3M 7010309384 is a coated abrasive belt engineered for demanding stock removal and metal finishing applications. It combines 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain with aluminum oxide in a blend that cuts faster and lasts longer than conventional aluminum oxide belts. The heavyweight polyester cloth backing is built for high-pressure grinding and can run dry or with lubricant. At 264 inches long and 3 inches wide with an 80-grit cut, this belt is suited for high-volume production environments where belt life and consistent cut rate directly affect output. A built-in grinding aid controls heat during use on stainless steel and other heat-sensitive metals.
This belt is designed for use on wide belt grinding machines and industrial finishing equipment in metal fabrication, weld grinding, and surface conditioning applications. It performs well on stainless steel, carbon steel, and other ferrous metals. The 80-grit grade makes it appropriate for aggressive stock removal followed by blending and finishing passes. Fabrication shops, metalworking operations, and maintenance grinding applications are typical use environments. Each belt is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 25 units per the supplier specification.
Designed for use on wide belt grinders and industrial abrasive belt machines that accept 264 inch by 3 inch coated abrasive belts.
Belt installation and tracking should be performed by a qualified machine operator following the equipment manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the grinder is fully powered down and locked out before mounting or removing belts. Verify belt tension and tracking direction prior to resuming operation, as running a belt in the wrong direction can reduce performance and cause premature failure. Always confirm machine compatibility with belt dimensions before mounting.
