The 3M 7010309330 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for surface finishing on metal and other substrates. Built on a durable cloth and polyester scrim backing, the belt resists stretching under tension, making it well suited for consistent, controlled finishing passes. The non-woven nylon fiber construction allows the belt to finish surfaces while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece. An open web structure resists loading, extending abrasive service life. This belt is used by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance trades requiring a reliable mid-range finishing belt.
This belt is appropriate for a wide range of surface conditioning tasks in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and light industrial environments. The aluminum oxide mineral and resin bond construction make it effective on stainless steel, brass, and similar metals. Its moderate durability and flexibility allow it to fit into multi-step finishing sequences where aggressive cutting is not needed and substrate protection matters. Sold individually, it is compatible with standard belt grinding and finishing equipment sized for the specified belt dimensions.
Designed for use on belt finishing and surface conditioning machines that accept a 118-inch by 3-inch abrasive belt. Suitable for use on stainless steel, brass, and a variety of metal substrates as stated by the manufacturer.
Install and replace abrasive belts only with the machine fully powered down and isolated from its power source. Confirm belt tracking and tension according to the equipment manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection when handling and changing abrasive belts. Follow applicable workplace safety standards for abrasive wheel and belt equipment.
