The 3M 7010309325 is a Scotch-Brite surface conditioning belt designed for detail finishing work across a wide range of metal surfaces. Built on a reinforced nonwoven open-web construction with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded by resin over a scrim backing, this belt handles blending, deburring, cleaning, contour finishing, and straight-line brushed finishes. The open-web structure reduces loading and heat buildup, extending operating time and delivering consistent results pass after pass. Licensed trades and metal fabrication shops rely on this belt for fine finishing, grain setting, and stainless steel surface work.
This belt is sized at 60 inches in length and 1-1/2 inches in width, making it suited for narrow belt finishing machines used in fabrication and production environments. Typical applications include removing grind lines, mill marks, and surface imperfections from flat and contoured metal parts. The conformable nonwoven material keeps the abrasive in consistent contact with complex-shaped workpieces, including in robotic or automated processing setups. It is equally effective for manual detail work on edges and corners in light industrial or job-shop settings.
Designed for use on narrow belt finishing machines accepting a 60-inch by 1-1/2-inch belt. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum in fabrication and production applications.
Install and replace abrasive belts only with the machine powered off and unplugged or locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when handling or changing abrasive belts. Follow the machine manufacturer guidelines for maximum operating speed to avoid belt failure.
