The 3M 7010308696 is a coated abrasive belt from the Cubitron II 967F line, designed for high-pressure grinding and stock removal on demanding metals. It uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology on a heavyweight polyester cloth backing, delivering fast, consistent cutting action throughout the belt's life. At 36 grit, this belt is built for aggressive material removal on carbon steel, tool steels, nickel alloys, and titanium. A heat-resistant grinding aid is incorporated to manage thermal buildup when working heat-sensitive alloys. The belt measures 132 inches in length and 6 inches in width and weighs 2.35 pounds per unit.
This belt is suited for industrial grinding applications in fabrication shops, aerospace, and tool-and-die environments. The coarse 36 grit and heavyweight polyester backing make it appropriate for off-hand grinding, weld blending, and rough stock removal where belt pressure is high and cycle times must be short. It performs well in both dry and production grinding setups on ferrous and high-alloy workpieces. The minimum order quantity is 10 belts per order.
Designed for use on belt grinders and file belt machines that accept a 132-inch by 6-inch abrasive belt. Suitable for grinding carbon steel, tool steels, nickel alloys, and titanium in industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Ensure the grinder is powered down and locked out before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Eye protection, gloves, and appropriate respiratory protection should be worn when grinding ferrous and exotic alloys.
