The 3M 7010308581 is a Cubitron II Roloc abrasive disc engineered for demanding metalworking applications where both speed and flexibility matter. Built around 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, this 2-inch disc cuts at 80 grit with exceptional speed at up to 25,000 RPM. The ceramic grain maintains sharp cutting points throughout the disc's life, reducing the pressure required to remove material. A YF-weight backing supports medium to high pressure grinding. A grinding aid is incorporated into the disc to minimize heat buildup, making it well suited for stainless steel and other heat-sensitive alloys. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators who change discs frequently will appreciate the Roloc quick-change attachment system.
This disc is designed for weld grinding, beveling, flame-cut edge clean-up, and deburring on metal surfaces. The 2-inch diameter and Roloc attachment make it a practical choice for angle grinders and die grinders used in tight access areas or contoured workpieces. Its ceramic grain technology delivers longer disc life compared to conventional abrasive discs, reducing changeover time on production or field jobs. Applications span both shop fabrication and field metalwork on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including heat-sensitive alloys where thermal damage to the base material is a concern.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible right-angle grinders and die grinders accepting 2-inch quick-change abrasive discs. Suitable for weld grinding, beveling, flame-cut edge clean-up, and deburring on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and heat-sensitive alloys.
Installation is performed by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians using compatible Roloc-style grinders. Verify the tool's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc's 25,000 RPM rating before mounting. Power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before changing discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during grinding operations.
