The 3M 7010308379 is an alumina zirconia coated abrasive belt designed for demanding grinding, blending, and finishing applications on metal. The 577F series uses an alumina zirconia mineral combined with a grinding aid that runs cooler than standard aluminum oxide belts, reducing heat buildup at the workpiece surface. This makes it well suited for heat-sensitive metals such as aluminum and stainless steel. The belt measures 48 inches in length and 2 inches in width, features an 80 grit rating, and is backed by a heavyweight water-resistant polyester cloth construction built to withstand high-pressure contact and edge work.
