The 3M 7010308243 is a Trizact 307EA abrasive belt built on a flexible rayon cloth backing with micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral. The mineral is formed into three-dimensional pyramidal structures using 3M microreplication technology. As the outer pyramid tips wear during use, fresh, sharp abrasive mineral is continuously exposed from within. This self-sharpening action produces a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the life of the belt. The belt measures 18.93 inches in length and 1.5 inches in width. It is sold individually and is suited for intermediate finishing and fine polishing operations in industrial and fabrication environments.
This belt is designed for use on metal substrates in finishing operations that precede plating, buffing, or other surface treatment steps. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and curved surfaces, making the belt well suited for both manual and automated robotic finishing lines. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure delivers repeatable finish results across the full service life of the belt, which is a key advantage in high-volume or automated applications where consistency between parts is critical. HVAC sheet metal fabricators, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance technicians working with polished metal components are among the trades that commonly use this belt.
Designed for use on belt finishing machines accepting 18.93 inch by 1.5 inch abrasive belts. Suitable for metal finishing applications including stainless steel, aluminum, and other ferrous and non-ferrous substrates in industrial and fabrication settings.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel following the belt sander or finishing machine manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and locked out before changing belts. Confirm belt tracking and tension per the equipment manufacturer specifications before resuming operation. Eye protection and appropriate respiratory protection should be worn during abrasive finishing operations.
