The 3M 7010308233 is a Trizact 307EA abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in demanding industrial applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed. The result is a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine finish throughout the life of the belt. At 132 inches long and 4 inches wide, this belt fits wide-belt and stroke-sander configurations common in metal finishing and fabrication environments.
This belt is suited for metal finishing operations including intermediate stock removal and fine polishing prior to plating, buffing, or coating. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and irregular surfaces, making it well-suited for both flat and curved workpieces. The three-dimensional abrasive structure also performs consistently in robotic or automated sanding systems where uniform finish output is critical across long production runs. Fabrication shops, aerospace component finishers, and metal service centers are typical end users.
Designed for use on wide-belt sanders, stroke sanders, and automated finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 4-inch abrasive belt. Suitable for finishing ferrous and non-ferrous metals in industrial fabrication and precision metalworking applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machine operator or maintenance technician familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and lock out the sander before changing belts. Verify belt tracking alignment and tension according to the machine manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage prior to use.
