The 3M 7010308220 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish throughout the belt's service life. At 132 inches long and 1 inch wide, this belt fits narrow-contact and robotic finishing setups common in metal fabrication and surface preparation work.
This belt is suited for metal finishing operations that require a uniform, fine surface profile prior to plating, buffing, or coating. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and irregular surfaces, making it effective on formed parts and tubing as well as flat stock. It is commonly used in automated and robotic grinding cells where finish consistency across high part volumes is required. Manual bench and stroke sanding applications also benefit from the self-renewing abrasive structure.
Designed for use on narrow-contact belt sanders, robotic finishing cells, and stroke sanders that accept a 132-inch by 1-inch abrasive belt configuration. Intended for metal substrates requiring fine surface finishing prior to plating or buffing.
Installation should be performed by qualified finishing or fabrication personnel. Verify belt tracking direction markings before mounting to avoid premature edge wear. Ensure the drive and idler pulleys are clean, properly aligned, and within the belt width specification before tensioning. Power down and lock out the machine before changing belts in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures.
