The 3M 7010307914 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in demanding metalworking and fabrication applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide abrasive particles are formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the surface pyramids wear down, fresh mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable finish throughout the life of the belt. The belt measures 132 inches in length and 5.5 inches in width and is suited for high-cycle production environments including robotic finishing lines.
This belt is used in metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and finishing operations where controlled surface preparation is required prior to plating, buffing, or coating. Its flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpieces, making it effective for parts with irregular geometry. The three-dimensional abrasive structure produces finer surface finishes than conventional electrostatically coated abrasives, reducing the number of finishing steps needed before final surface treatment.

Installation should be performed by qualified metalworking or fabrication personnel familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Before mounting, power down and lock out the belt grinder or finishing machine per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension according to the machine manufacturer's specifications before running. Inspect the belt for tears or separation before each use and replace immediately if damage is found.
