The 3M 7010307893 is a Trizact 237AA abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear down during use, fresh, sharp cutting edges are continuously exposed. This self-sharpening action delivers a consistent cut rate and predictable finish quality throughout the belt's service life. The belt measures 18 inches in length and 1/2 inch in width. It is installed and used by metalworking professionals, tool-and-die shops, and finishing technicians.
This belt is suited for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal surfaces prior to plating or buffing operations. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpieces, allowing consistent surface contact across irregular geometries. The three-dimensional abrasive structure also makes it well-suited for robotic and automated finishing applications where consistent, repeatable results are required across high production volumes.
