The 3M 7010302387 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) hook and loop fastener strip designed for secure, tool-free attachment in both indoor and outdoor environments. The hook side and loop side ship together as a matched pair, making field installation straightforward for HVAC technicians, electricians, and facility maintenance professionals. The strip measures 1 inch wide by 10 feet long and features a high-performance acrylic adhesive backing protected by a clear polyethylene film liner. Engaged thickness runs between 100 mil and 160 mil, with a 3.5 mil printed liner. The black nylon construction holds up to elevated temperatures and repeated open-and-close cycles.
This fastener strip is suited for attaching wire bundles, light panels, access covers, insulation blankets, and control covers in residential and commercial HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical installations. The acrylic PSA bonds reliably to paint, bare and painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastic substrates. Its UV-resistant construction makes it appropriate for exterior applications as well, including rooftop equipment, outdoor enclosures, and exposed conduit management where a removable but firm connection is needed.
Designed as a general-purpose PSA hook and loop fastener for use on painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and compatible plastic substrates in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical maintenance applications.
Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before peeling the liner and applying the adhesive side — oils, dust, or moisture will reduce bond strength. Press firmly along the full length of the strip for several seconds to ensure full adhesive contact. Allow adequate dwell time before loading the joint, especially in low-temperature environments where acrylic adhesives take longer to develop full strength. No special tools are required, but a roller or hard roller bar improves initial bond consistency on flat surfaces.
