The 3M 7010302012 is an acrylic adhesive transfer tape designed for bonding dissimilar substrates in light fabrication, assembly, and converting applications. At 2 mil thickness, the tape delivers a thin, conformable bond layer suited for splicing film, foils, fabrics, and coated papers. The high-tack 300-series acrylic adhesive provides strong initial adhesion without requiring heat activation. A 60 densified kraft liner adds the dimensional stability required for die-cutting and laminating operations. This roll measures 1 inch wide by 60 yards long and weighs 0.57 pounds. Fabricators, converting operations, and trade assembly technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This adhesive transfer tape is well suited for applications involving low surface energy plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as foam and gasket attachment. The thin 2 mil profile makes it appropriate wherever a minimal adhesive layer is required, including foil splicing, fabric bonding, and coated paper lamination. The fiber-reinforced construction aids handling during high-speed converting and die-cutting runs. It functions as a thinner alternative to 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape 950 where reduced thickness is a design requirement.

Surface preparation is critical for adhesive transfer tapes — clean, dry, and dust-free substrates will produce the strongest bond. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape during lamination to ensure full contact between the adhesive and both substrates. When die-cutting, verify that liner tension is consistent to prevent misregistration. Allow adequate dwell time after application before stressing the bond.
