The 3M 7010301220 is a non-woven abrasive buff and blend disc engineered for light-duty industrial surface work on metals. Built on a flexible, open nylon web structure impregnated with aluminum oxide (AO) mineral, this disc blends, cleans, deburrs, and finishes in a single pass. The 8-inch diameter and 3/4-inch arbor mount to standard right-angle grinders and disc polishers used in fabrication and maintenance environments. The open web construction resists loading, so debris clears rather than packing into the abrasive face. Licensed tradespeople and industrial maintenance techs reach for this disc when a job calls for controlled material removal without aggressive stock loss.
This disc is suited for light-duty cleaning, deburring, and surface blending on most common metals, including ferrous and non-ferrous stock. Typical applications include weld cleanup, rust and scale removal, edge deburring after cutting, and pre-finishing prep before coating or plating. The moderately aggressive grade handles general shop work where a wire wheel or coated abrasive disc would be too aggressive or leave an undesirable surface condition. It is a practical fit for metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production line deburring stations.
Designed as a non-woven abrasive disc for use on most metals in light-duty industrial applications including cleaning, deburring, and surface blending operations.
Mounting and use of abrasive discs should be performed by trained personnel following ANSI B7.1 and applicable shop safety standards. Verify that the arbor size and maximum RPM rating of the disc are compatible with the grinder or polisher before mounting. Always power down and disconnect the tool before changing discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use a disc that shows tears, delamination, or degradation of the web material.
