The 3M 7010301207 is an extra-hard density unitized abrasive wheel built for aggressive deburring and finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Part of the 900 Series line, it uses aluminum oxide mineral bonded into a non-woven construction that delivers the highest level of density and edge durability in the Standard Abrasives unitized wheel range. The result is effective burr removal and efficient surface finishing on harder metals where softer wheel grades wear too quickly. Licensed trades and fabrication shops typically use this wheel with angle grinders, die grinders, or bench-mounted mandrel setups.
This wheel is suited for heavy-duty metal finishing applications in industrial fabrication, maintenance, and repair environments. The extra-hard density and coarse-to-medium mineral load make it appropriate for deburring edges on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It runs in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, allowing compatibility with a wider range of power tools and machine configurations. The 2-inch diameter is a common size for die grinders and pencil grinders used in tight spaces and detail work.
Designed for use with standard unitized wheel mandrels (sold separately) compatible with die grinders, angle grinders, and bench machines that accept center-hole mounted abrasive wheels.
Installation and wheel changes must be performed with the tool fully powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify that the mandrel arbor size matches the wheel center hole before mounting, and confirm the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the maximum rated speed of the wheel. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and discard any wheel showing cracking, fraying, or delamination. Follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safe-use practices for abrasive wheels.
