The 3M 7010301036 is the Base (Part B) component of the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 460NS two-part bonding system, supplied in a 5-gallon container. This toughened, non-sag epoxy adhesive is formulated for structural bonding applications where a workable, paste-consistency adhesive is required on vertical or overhead surfaces. It mixes at a 2:1 ratio with the corresponding Part A hardener and delivers a 60-minute work life, with handling strength developing in approximately 4 hours. The 460NS system is designed for fabrication and assembly operations that demand good shear strength, peel resistance, and impact durability across a range of substrates.
This Part B container is intended for use in industrial, commercial, and trade assembly environments. The adhesive bonds to metals, ceramics, wood, and select plastics, making it applicable across sheet metal fabrication, structural panel assembly, and general maintenance bonding tasks. The non-sag consistency allows placement on inclined and vertical surfaces without slumping before cure. This product must be paired with its corresponding Part A to activate the epoxy system. It is typically applied by fabricators, industrial maintenance technicians, and experienced trade professionals working with structural adhesive systems.
Designed for use as the Base (Part B) component in the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 460NS B/A two-part system. Must be combined with the corresponding Part A hardener at a 2:1 ratio. Compatible substrates include metals, ceramics, wood, and some plastics.
Dispense and mix Part B with the corresponding Part A hardener at the specified 2:1 ratio before application. Surface preparation is critical — substrates should be clean, dry, and free of oils, loose scale, or contaminants prior to bonding. Do not apply beyond the 60-minute work life once mixing has begun. Allow full handling cure of approximately 4 hours before applying stress to the bonded assembly. Follow all applicable safety data sheet guidance for ventilation and personal protective equipment when working with epoxy adhesive systems.
