The 3M 7010300876 is a Scotch-Brite PO-DC non-woven abrasive disc engineered for surface preparation, light scuffing, and fine finishing work. Built on a load- and heat-resistant non-woven web with silicon carbide abrasive mineral, the disc delivers a consistent scratch pattern and smooth finish across a wide range of substrates. At 5 inches in diameter and rated ultra fine grade, it is suited for prepping surfaces before paint or primer application, hand blending, and general scuffing tasks. Metalworkers, painters, fabricators, and finishing technicians are the primary installers and end users of this product.
This disc is designed for use on metal, wood, plastics, and composites in both shop and field finishing scenarios. Its ultra fine silicon carbide abrasive makes it well suited to residential and light commercial finishing environments where surface consistency before coating is critical. Denser mineral placement compared to the standard 7448 disc delivers a more uniform scratch pattern and a faster cut rate, making it a practical choice for production finishing lines or detail prep work where repeatability matters. The flexible non-woven construction allows the disc to conform to irregular and contoured surfaces without sacrificing cut performance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-use abrasive disc for non-woven disc finishing applications on 5-inch backup pads and disc holders compatible with PO-DC style discs.
Mount the disc securely to a compatible 5-inch backup pad before operation. Verify that the backup pad and drive tool are rated for the intended RPM before use. Inspect the disc for wear or loading before each use and replace when cut rate degrades noticeably. Surface should be clean and dry before scuffing or prep work begins to avoid contaminating the abrasive web.
