The 3M 7010300802 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for controlled surface finishing on a range of metal and composite substrates. The belt uses aluminum oxide mineral bonded in a resin system and carried on a non-woven nylon fiber web backed by a durable polyester scrim. The low-stretch construction keeps the belt tracking consistently on contact wheels and platen grinders. At 132 inches long and 2 inches wide, it fits standard belt finishing machines used in metal fabrication, welding prep, and surface blending applications. The open web structure resists loading, extending usable belt life.
This belt is suited for light to moderate surface conditioning tasks in fabrication shops, machine shops, and maintenance environments. It performs well on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and mild steel. It is well-matched to applications where preserving the geometry of the workpiece is critical, such as deburring weld seams, blending scratches, or preparing surfaces before coating. Operators working in sequences that call for non-aggressive stock removal with a consistent scratch pattern will find this belt fits naturally into their workflow.
Designed for use on belt finishing and surface conditioning machines that accept 132 inch by 2 inch non-woven abrasive belts. Suitable for use on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and mild steel substrates.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machine operator following the equipment manufacturer's belt-change procedure. Power down and lock out the machine before removing the worn belt and fitting the new one. Verify belt tracking on the idler wheel before returning the machine to full operating speed. Inspect the belt for tears or delamination before each use and do not exceed the machine's rated surface speed for non-woven belts.
