The 3M 7010300669 is a Scotch-Brite High Strength non-woven abrasive disc built for general-purpose surface conditioning in metal fabrication and finishing applications. Constructed from a durable, open-web, non-woven material with aluminum oxide abrasive, the disc is engineered to clean, deburr, denib, defuzz, and produce satin finishes on a wide range of metal surfaces. The open-web construction resists loading and dissipates heat during use, keeping the abrasive cutting consistently throughout the disc's service life. At 10 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch arbor, the disc fits standard angle grinders and disc machines used in metal fabrication shops and maintenance environments.
This disc is suited for metal fabrication, light manufacturing, maintenance, and finishing operations where consistent surface results are required. The conformable disc body follows contours and features a wear-resistant edge that extends usable life. Typical applications include deburring cut metal edges, surface preparation before coating, and achieving uniform satin finishes on steel, aluminum, and similar metals. Multiple discs can be stacked to expand coverage over larger surface areas or increase cut aggressiveness on heavy-duty tasks.
Designed for use on standard disc grinders and surface conditioning machines accepting a 10 inch diameter disc with a 1/2 inch arbor mounting. Suitable for use on steel, aluminum, and other common metals in fabrication and maintenance settings.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by qualified metalworking or maintenance personnel with the machine fully powered down and disconnected from its power source before mounting or removing the disc. Verify that the arbor size and maximum RPM rating of the machine are compatible with the disc before operation. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and never operate a disc that shows signs of tears or delamination. Follow applicable shop safety standards and wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection during use.
