The 3M 7010300098 is a coated abrasive cloth belt designed for aggressive stock removal on wood and metal surfaces. Built on a heavyweight cloth backing with an open coat construction, this belt resists loading and delivers consistent cut rates across demanding production environments. The P220 grit aluminum oxide abrasive provides a balance of cut speed and surface finish, making it well suited for finish sanding and intermediate-stage material removal. Resin bond construction allows the belt to withstand high heat and pressure, extending abrasive life in high-output applications. The washable backing adds further service life when working high-loading substrates.
This belt is rated for use in wide belt sanding, edge sanding, and portable belt sanding operations. At 75 inches long and 43 inches wide, it fits large-format wide belt sanders commonly found in woodworking shops, millwork facilities, cabinet shops, and metal fabrication environments. The open coat construction is particularly effective on resinous softwoods such as pine, where clogging is a common challenge. It is also suitable for light metal stock removal and blending applications.
Designed for use on wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders that accept a 75-inch by 43-inch abrasive belt. Suitable for wood and metal surface finishing applications.
Belt installation should be performed with the sanding machine fully powered off and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension settings before resuming operation, following the equipment manufacturer's guidelines. Inspect the belt for tears or damage before each use. Proper belt orientation relative to the direction-of-travel arrow, if marked, should be confirmed prior to startup.
